THE MAGIC BUS INTERVIEW
My friend Maddie Joyce was kind enough to do an interview with me for her amazing site The Magic Bus. The piece of art above, as well as some of the new pieces included in her interview will be released in The Ryde’s Fall 2011 line.

ROTUND
I don’t usually post art on here until it is used for The Ryde, which means that it is often 6 months to a year from when I create the art until anyone else sees it. I’m not sure if I hold back so that the art seems new when it finally comes out on a t-shirt, if it is to prevent someone from using it as inspiration before it is sold on a shirt, or to use the post as a means to promote the product once it is for sale. Probably some combination of the three. For some reason I felt like posting this one today even though it just came into being yesterday. I’ve experienced a creative embarrassment of riches these last two weeks. It seems that everyday I have a bounty of ideas for new illustrations. What a blessing after I had been praying for better focus at work. Nothing like a little inspiration to motivate the mind.
